A Note from Pastor Michael about FaithAnne
January 8, 2021
Dear Aldersgate Family,
I wanted to send you a quick note to thank you for praying for FaithAnne, Patty, Hannah, and me. Our hearts are broken. FaithAnne, our little ray of sunshine, walked into the arms of Jesus earlier this morning with Patty, Hannah and me by her side holding her hands.
FaithAnne brought so much love, joy, and laughter to our lives and the lives of so many people. We are so thankful for the 18 years God gave us with her and grieve deeply her sudden departure. The principle events that led to her death included a sudden and undetected shunt malfunction leading to catastrophic brain damage. She never knew what hit her.
Just Wednesday, she attended online school, and the day before she worked her student co-op job as a receptionist at Church. Her smile was infectious, and her tenacity wouldn’t let anything stop her.
We find peace knowing that our beautiful, red-haired, smiling girl is now walking, without crutches, braces, or wheelchair beside her Savior Jesus Christ.
As you can imagine, we are in shock and grieving deeply. Our minds are in a fog and we are taking time to weep. Undoubtedly, folks will ask, “What do the Sawicki’s need?” We need you to do what you do best: just be you. The strength, support, love, kindness and care of community, both local and distant, has always been invaluable to us.
Words are unable to express our gratitude for your support, prayers, prayer vigil and encouragement. Thank you.
Because We Are Called,
Michael T. Sawicki
