A Message from the Aldersgate Staff, Board, and Pastor Parish Committee

Friends,
We are heartbroken with you over the sudden passing of FaithAnne.  Her infectious smile and genuine care for others will be deeply missed by all of us.  There are no words adequate to even come close to expressing the range of emotions we all feel.

Pastor Michael T. asked us to send out an email that you received this morning.  We’re putting the link here in case you haven’t yet seen it.  This is his message to you all about FaithAnne.  Click here to read his note.

We know that you all are longing for ways to shower your love and support on the Sawicki family.  We know your deep love for them, as well as your longing to comfort them, grieve with them, and surround them during this season. Thank you for all of the ways this has been happening over the last 24 hours.

We are actively working on specific ways for you to care for and support the Sawicki family.  When arrangements are made, we will let you know.

Here’s what you can do now:

First, we’ve created an online care book you can use to email notes of comfort and encouragement to the Sawicki family.  You can use this form to let them know you are with them, and they will be able to have these notes as a keepsake for years to come.

Click here to send a note through the online care book.

Second, we’ve created a space at the Midland Campus where you can drop off cards or other symbols of your care and love for them.  Given the reality of Covid, we wanted to create a space at the church where those who feel most comfortable dropping them off at church rather than sending them directly can do so.

In the midst of the shock and grief, we have hope.  Jesus shined through FaithAnne, which was obvious if you spent any time with her at all.  Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life, and as we say goodbye, we know that she is with Him today, still shining in His presence, her heart full of the same joyful worship she shared on Sunday mornings.  We have the certain hope that we will sing and worship and laugh with her again because Jesus is Life.

Please know our pastoral staff and church leadership are here to support you.  Reach out as you need us.

Thanks again for your prayer and love for the Sawicki family,

Bryan Williams, Bob Fox and Nancy Money, on behalf of the Aldersgate Church staff, SBG, and PPRC
